Have you used 5G yet? Wang Jianzhou: 6G network will be commercialized in 2030

According to Sina Technology News, at the 2021 Technology Billboard Conference held recently, Wang Jianzhou, the former chairman of China Mobile and senior consultant of the Global Mobile Communications Association, delivered a keynote speech. Wang Jianzhou said, “When we are building 5G, 6G has already begun. By 2030, 6G will be commercially available. Now we need to speed up the definition and research and development of 6G.” He pointed out that 5G technology has made unprecedented improvements in mobile communication capabilities, but the development of technology is endless. After 5G is commercialized, 5G technology will be further improved. This improvement should be divided into two steps. The first step is 5.5. G, the second step is 6G. It is worth mentioning that Wang Jianzhou emphasized that the 6G architecture design should fully consider the impact of hardware and algorithms on energy consumption, realize intelligent power control, and reduce the energy consumption of system operations as a whole. It is understood that in June this year, the IMT-2030 (6G) Promotion Group released the "6G Overall Vision and Potential Key Technology White Paper." The "White Paper" pointed out that on the basis of 5G's high speed, large connections, low latency, and high reliability, 6G brings new trends such as immersion, intelligence, and globalization. 6G is the sixth-generation mobile communication standard, also known as the sixth-generation mobile communication technology. 6G is superior to 5G in terms of peak rate, delay, traffic density, spectrum efficiency, and positioning capabilities.
