In the first quarter, Internet companies above designated size achieved operating profits of 26.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.5%; operating costs continued to rise rapidly, with year-on-year growth of 31.1% and 27% respectively in January-February and January-March.

The growth rate of R&D expenses has fallen. In the first quarter, Internet companies above designated size invested 17.01 billion yuan in R&D expenses, a year-on-year increase of 14%, and the growth rate dropped by 5.7 percentage points from January to February.
