Foreign media: Vietnam will launch a large-scale 5G service test this year to accelerate the commercialization process
On April 21, according to foreign media reports, the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam recently stated that the country will accelerate the commercialization of 5G networks and will launch large-scale 5G service tests in 2021. 5G is the next-generation cellular technology, and the download speed is 10 to 100 times faster than the current 4G network.
In addition, for faster data download and upload speeds, 5G technology is also expected to have wider coverage and more stable connections. Now, many telecommunications companies around the world are studying 5G network technology, which is considered to be the next leap in wireless technology.
With the promotion of 5G networks, more and more countries are beginning to accelerate the deployment of 5G networks. In 2021, Vietnam will use some locally manufactured 5G equipment to start large-scale 5G service testing, focusing on agriculture, high-tech and industry 4.0 applications.
Statistics show that by the end of February 2021, the total number of fixed broadband users in Vietnam has exceeded 17.2 million, and the total number of mobile broadband users is close to 69.5 million.
