China Mobile has built a 5G network that basically covers
the whole country, with more than 500,000 5G base stations; it has developed 5G
package users of nearly 280 million; it faces 18 sub-sectors, equipped with
200+ leading demonstration projects and 4000+ commercial cases.
On the afternoon of August 31, the 2021 World 5G Conference
opened in Yizhuang, Beijing. At the main forum of the conference held today,
Yang Jie, chairman of China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd., introduced
the company's latest progress in 5G construction.
Yang Jie introduced that China Mobile has built a 5G network
that basically covers the whole country, with more than 500,000 5G base
stations; it has developed 5G packages with nearly 280 million users; it faces
18 sub-sectors, equipped with 200+ leading demonstration projects and 4000+
commercial cases. .
He also said that 3G and 4G have promoted the popularization
of mobile Internet, and 5G has accelerated the integration and innovation of
AI, big data, cloud and other technologies. Next, China Mobile will promote 5G
to achieve four stronger ones:
A stronger network and speed up the transformation of
network intelligence;
Stronger technology, tackling key areas such as immersive
real-time communication, deterministic networking, and high-precision
positioning;
Stronger applications: enrich digital life applications,
promote 5G integration into the core joints of production, and promote the
large-scale development of 5G applications;
Stronger ecology: To build a 5G innovation consortium with

Yang Jie also talked about the multiple 5G applications that
China Mobile and Beijing have jointly cultivated and expanded. In the next
step, China Mobile will aim to serve Beijing to build a benchmark city for the
global digital economy, focusing on new infrastructure, artificial
