IC Insights: MPU sales will continue to maintain double-digit growth in 2021

IC Insights recently released the "Mclean Report 2021" mid-year update forecast that MPU sales will increase by 14% in 2021, which will bring the entire MPU market to a record 103.7 billion U.S. dollars, compared with the expected increase in January of 9%.

IC Insights also raised the forecast of MPU's revenue in the next five years to a compound annual growth rate of 7.1%, which will bring sales in 2025 to 127.8 billion U.S. dollars, while sales in 2020 will be approximately 90.7 billion U.S. dollars.

The mid-year update shows that in 2021, the sales of mobile phone application processors increased by 34%, reaching 35.7 billion US dollars. It is expected that shipments of mobile phone application processors will increase by 11% in 2021, and the ASP of these processors will increase by 20% this year.
