evolution to 5.5G, and said that, unlike the 5G development direction, 5.5G
will focus on vertical industries Extension.
From the current situation, 5.5G technology is still based
on the original theoretical basis of 5G, but the direction of technology
upgrade is to develop the original 5G basic scenes to a deeper dimension,
making these scenes more "soul".
Why is it difficult to find a "classic" in the
5G scene
My country has built the world's largest 5G network, and the
scene of interconnection of everything around us is increasing day by day. However,
judging from the 5G scenes we actually experience around us, although the
senses are wonderful, it seems that something is missing. What is going on?
First of all, it is not difficult for us to find that the
truly practical 5G scenarios, whether in the to B market or the to C market,
seem to lack "classic works." Secondly, most of the current 5G
scenarios are widely used in industrial enterprises. Although there is no
shortage of scenarios in the C-side market, there are still too few users. Most
C-side developers are still in the difficult stage of burning money to grab the
market.
The real reason for the lack of user enthusiasm is that the
current 5G scene still lacks "soul" and lacks more "smart"
scenes. Therefore, it is imperative to extend the 5.5G scenario technology to
the direction of intelligent service capabilities. Just as Academician Zhang
Ping said, it is necessary to focus on the expansion of the industry.
5.5G Technology Brings All Things to "Intelligent
Connectivity" Era
In April this year, at the 46th meeting of the International
Telecommunications Standards Organization 3GPP, the 5G evolution technology was
formally confirmed as 5G-Advanced. In the industry, 5G-Advanced is also called
5.5G. From the perspective of globally recognized 5G technical standards, the
current 5G is aimed at the three standard scenarios defined by the ITU,
supporting only the preliminary interconnection of everything, while the
recently proposed 5.5G technology solves the problems raised above and will
Give the scene more "soul".
Academician Zhang Ping pointed out that with the evolution
of 5G to 5.5G, in addition to the original triangular capabilities of mobile
bandwidth enhancement, ultra-reliable low-latency, and massive machine-type
communications, uplink ultra-wideband, broadband real-time interaction, and
communication perception fusion capabilities have been added. . On the basis of
the three original 5G standard scenarios, three new scenarios have been
expanded-UCBC, RTBC, and HCS, turning the triangle defined by the 5G scenario
into a 5.5G hexagon, making everything truly "moving".
In other words, 5.5G technology will bring more
"wisdom" to the scene, allowing everything to be upgraded from
"interconnection" to "intelligence connection."
