Intel introduces high-performance and energy-efficient Ethernet solutions

On February 25, 2025, Intel announced two new Ethernet product lines, the Intel Ethernet Controller E830 and Network Adapters, and the Intel Ethernet Controller E610 and Network Adapters, designed to meet the growing needs of enterprise, telecommunications, cloud, edge, scientific computing (HPC), and AI. These next-generation solutions deliver robust, high-performance connectivity while improving energy efficiency and security, and reducing total cost of ownership (TCO).

The Intel Ethernet E830 Series delivers high-performance, secure, and energy-efficient solutions for demanding workloads in virtualized enterprise, cloud, telco, and edge environments. The first products include dual-port 25GbE PCIe and OCP 3.0 compliant adapters, with more configurations to be released later the year. Key features of the Intel Ethernet E830 series include:

Excellent Time Synchronization Capability: With features such as Precision Time Measurement (PTM), support for 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP), Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE), and support for Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), it is essential for critical time synchronization applications in telecommunications, financial services, and AI training and inference.
