Huawei Releases FusionInsight LibrA, A New Generation of Enterprise-Level Distributed Data Warehouse
Build a new PB-level enterprise data warehouse to achieve second-level response for trillions of data correlation analysis
[Beijing, China, April 25, 2018] At the Huawei Global Financial Summit, Huawei released the next-generation enterprise-level distributed data warehouse FusionInsight LibrA solution (hereinafter referred to as LibrA), which aims to provide customers in various industries with a unified, scalable, and high-performance data analysis platform. LibrA supports technologies such as full parallel computing, mixed row and column storage, vectorized execution, and elastic scaling resources, achieving second-level response and full-text retrieval for trillions of data association analysis, thereby helping customers quickly analyze and mine data value.
LibrA is an important component of Huawei's FusionInsight big data solution, providing PB-level enterprise data warehouse capabilities. LibrA has the characteristics of high performance, high reliability, high scalability, high security, and ease of use. It adopts MPP (massive parallel processing) and shared-nothing architecture. When the amount of data shows explosive growth, the high scalability of the system can achieve online capacity expansion without interrupting business and smooth migration without perception. It allows horizontal expansion through X86 servers to meet customer business needs while reducing TCO (total cost of ownership). LibrA incorporates technologies such as full parallel computing, mixed row and column storage, and vectorized execution to achieve second-level response for trillions of data association analysis. Its full-component high-reliability architecture can achieve no single point of failure in the entire cluster and provide enterprise-level reliability assurance. In addition, Libra also supports real-time full-text retrieval of data in the big data platform without introducing additional components.
Liu Weiming, General Manager of Huawei's EBG China Financial Business Department, said: "We are in a new era of rapid change. On the one hand, data in industries such as finance, operators, and large enterprises is growing rapidly and massively every day; on the other hand, technologies such as cloud, big data, and artificial intelligence are constantly evolving and entering our lives. Based on customer demand for big data analysis, Huawei has launched the next-generation enterprise-level distributed data warehouse FusionInsight LibrA, which will help more customers analyze massive amounts of data quickly and in real time to tap into greater business value."
Huawei has been researching data warehouses since 2012, and is committed to building industry-leading big data solutions through leading data management and database technologies. Since its launch, LibrA has been widely used in enterprise data warehouse projects and business analysis systems for customers in industries such as finance, operators, government and public utilities, and energy. By the end of 2017, half of the top 20 financial companies in China had chosen Huawei's FusionInsight big data platform. By helping major financial institutions transform their overall IT architecture into the cloud, LibrA has effectively reduced operating costs and achieved a number of breakthroughs in real-time credit reporting, historical details query, and precision marketing. Looking to the future, Huawei will work with partners to expand more industry applications.
According to reports from Gartner, IDC, and other institutions, Huawei's FusionInsight Big Data Solution entered Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Analytical Data Management Solutions for two consecutive years in 2017 and 2018, and was ranked in the top quadrant of IDC's MarketScape for China Big Data Management Platform Vendor Evaluation. So far, Huawei's FusionInsight Big Data Solution has won the trust of more than 1,000 customers in 55 countries around the world, has more than 300 business partners, and has established OpenLabs in many regions around the world to support joint innovation with customers and partners in cloud and big data.
