To help the development of the industrial Internet, 5G has a lot to do!
As an industry where a new generation of information
technology is deeply integrated with traditional manufacturing, the Industrial
Internet is now deeply concerned and valued by all countries. As one of the
major manufacturing and Internet countries, my country has achieved gratifying
achievements in the construction of the industrial Internet in recent years
with the promotion of policies and the layout of enterprises. According to the
"China Internet Development Report (2021)", my country's industrial
Internet market will reach 916.48 billion yuan in 2020, becoming an important driving
force for the development of the digital economy.
At present, the development of my country's industrial
Internet has gradually formed industrial clusters in the Yangtze River Delta,
Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Northeast Old Industrial
Base, Chengyu, etc. The total number of industrial Internet logo registrations
exceeded 5.5 billion, and the industrial Internet platform access to industrial
facilities reached 4,000. More than ten thousand units. Not only has the
infrastructure construction been progressed steadily, but the application
innovation ecosystem has also continued to expand. However, due to large
capital investment and many technical challenges, although the situation is
gratifying, commercialization is full of ills.
On the one hand, the frequent occurrence of data islands has
caused difficulties in the promotion of the industrial Internet; on the other
hand, as a new industry, the industrial Internet has insufficient core
technology innovation, imperfect laws, regulations and standards, lack of
compound talents in the industry, and commercialization. The scenes to be
developed and the hidden dangers of network security also make development
difficult. In this context, many manufacturing companies have doubts about the
application of the industrial Internet, which makes it difficult to speed up
commercialization.
Fortunately, the 5G network currently being deployed has
contributed to the development of the Industrial Internet. The essence of the
Industrial Internet is to closely connect and integrate equipment, production
lines, factories, suppliers, products, and customers through a globalized and
open industrial-grade network platform, and to efficiently share various
element resources in the industrial economy, so as to achieve automation and
intelligence through automation and intelligence. The production method reduces
costs and increases efficiency. 5G can provide it with efficient and secure
network communication.
First, the application of large broadband, low-latency, and high-efficiency
5G networks is expected to improve the interconnection and interoperability of
industrial Internet equipment, improve the speed and accuracy of related data
transmission, and provide reliable technical support for the interconnection of
industrial Internet and industrial equipment to meet manufacturing
requirements. The actual needs of industrial enterprises for data transmission
and processing can solve various problems such as "data islands" and
industrial data connections.
Secondly, through 5G technology, the Industrial Internet can
also achieve closer integration with other cutting-edge technologies, such as
artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, VR and AR,
etc., so as to further promote the transformation and transformation of the
manufacturing industry, and achieve multi-faceted digitalization. Intelligent
and networked upgrades will truly bring out the potential value of the
Industrial Internet. Turning around, the industrial Internet can also become an
important commercial scenario for 5G.
Based on this, the industrial integration and application of
5G and the Industrial Internet is a complementary process and possesses
wide-ranging value and prospects. Especially in the manufacturing industry, 5G+
Industrial Internet can change the original organization and production mode of
manufacturing companies, interconnect equipment, personnel, and the environment
in all directions, monitor production equipment in real time, and move
industrial production toward unmanned and networked Advance in the direction of
integration and intelligence.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Information
Technology, there are currently close to 1,600 completed "5G + Industrial
Internet" projects in my country, covering more than 20 key industries and
fields of the national economy. In the next step, my country will continue to
focus on "5G + Industrial Internet" and continue to accelerate the
integration of applications and development. In order to achieve this goal, my
country has recently issued a 5G application "Sailing" action plan
and an industrial Internet innovation development action plan. The future
development is worth looking forward to!
