Currently, the AIGC upsurge represented by large models has brought about explosive growth in demand for computing power. According to data, the average growth rate of computing power in China has reached 30% in the past five years. Zeng Fugui pointed out that in order to increase the supply of computing power, in addition to improving the performance of computing equipment itself, the transmission level is also important. In this regard, he put forward two technical ideas: one is to improve the computing power level of the data center by improving chip technology and network transmission efficiency; the other is to use cross-regional computing power network construction to promote efficient complementary computing power and collaborative linkage. In this way, the efficiency of each link in the supply of computing power resources can be realized more comprehensively.

At the level of computing power cross-domain transmission, the network has transformed from a simple connection foundation and computing power access foundation to the main carrier for building ubiquitous computing power. Compared with the traditional network, the computing power network has the characteristics of scattered resources, mixed bearing, and blurred boundaries. As a result, the wide area network that carries the computing power network business needs to have the three major capabilities of identifying computing power applications, network resource allocation, and dynamic boundary security. This is exactly the research and development direction that IPv6+ technology focuses on.

Three key technologies support IPv6+ foundation computing power network base

IPv6+ is the direction of Internet upgrading and evolution. It has gone through three stages of development: protocol simplification and network programmability in the 1.0 stage, experience assurance and partial network autonomy in the 2.0 stage, and application awareness and high network autonomy in the 3.0 stage. Zeng Fugui pointed out that IPv6+2.0 is currently in the stage of moving towards 3.0. Realize network resource allocation based on multi-level slicing: adopt multi-level slicing technology solutions, combine sub-interfaces, SRv6 and FlexE, reduce the slicing granularity from Gb level to Mb level, and support thousands of slices in a single network , realize that the computing power network provides flexible slicing options for customers of different levels and different industries on demand, provides independent network resource guarantee for computing power applications, and ensures computing power application experience.
