Cloud-network integration is a process of cloud-network linkage. In the specific implementation, the realization of a digital platform is an important indicator of the results of cloud-network integration. In other words, whether the cloud-network integration is done well or not will ultimately be reflected in the building of the digital platform. The new generation of cloud network operation system is the key core component of the entire digital platform. It adopts cloud architecture, breaks the professional network management chimney model, connects B, O and networks, comprehensively improves the efficiency of cloud network integration operation, and realizes the digitization of cloud network resources. Digitization of network capabilities and digitization of operational processes. To provide a better one-click short-time activation experience for the external, unified scheduling of cloud resources and network resources for the internal, and improve operation efficiency.

Through the cloud network service orchestration system, the automatic activation capability is improved. The cloud-network convergence service initially has the ability to automatically activate, the success rate of one-time activation will increase to 80%, and the timely rate of dual-line service activation will reach 80%.

The self-developed cloud and network service orchestration system supports the one-click activation of major cloud and network products through a new generation of service orchestration center, and realizes the automatic activation and self-service of cloud and network integration products.

Independent innovation with cloud-network integration as the main line and 5G as the starting point. New STN-A equipment, lightweight UPF, and MEC products developed to meet the needs of cloud-network convergence scenarios for flexible customization of edge functions, create 5G customized network differentiated services, actively promote the implementation of cloud-network convergence strategies, and build new information infrastructure .
Based on the open source SONiC platform architecture, China Telecom’s C3NOS network element operating system has developed a commercial-oriented network element operating system (C3NOS) to create a cloud-based network element development platform under its own control. It has been applied to UPF, STN-A and other new network edge and Access products.

C3NOS has important features such as rapid customization of network element functions, decoupling of software and hardware, and containerized components. It supports three types of forwarding planes: general-purpose servers, dedicated ASICs, and hardware acceleration. It provides a basic development environment for various network edge products and the ability to continuously iterate products.

Independent research and development of MEC to build 5G core capabilities. With the MEC platform as the core, it connects with the network downwards, attracts applications upwards, and meets the edge customization needs of customers in connection, computing, capabilities, and services.

The construction of a new generation of "5G + cloud + edge digital infrastructure" must rely on corresponding solutions. Based on cloud-network integration, accelerate the cloud-network integration strategy, create a new generation of digital infrastructure, and more agile cloud-network integrated services; leverage the unique advantages of 5G customized networks and combine new technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data to provide government and enterprise customers Tailor differentiated services, focusing on ten major areas such as industry and medical; "5G + Cloud + Edge" as a new generation of information technology integration platform, adhere to the open cooperation of cloud and network infrastructure, and build a new industry ecosystem of 5G + cloud and network integration.
Chen Yunqing believes that the network has three evolutionary trends: data-centric integration, intelligent flexibility, and credible security. In addition, three dimensions should be considered when facing future network evolution. One is how to integrate with data and how to use data elements to drive the evolution of the network; the second is how to inject credible factors into the network; and the third is how to make the network face-to-customer. When it is smart and simple, it is both smart and simplified.
